Start filming: Doldinger is a best-of album by German jazz musician Klaus Doldinger . The album contains many pieces of music from various TV series and films for which Klaus Doldinger wrote the soundtrack . Also included is a song by Doldinger's band Passport . It was published by WEA Verlag on March 12, 1993 .
The compilation was released 25 years after his first film music work for the soundtrack to the film Negresco - A Deadly Affair (film by Klaus Lemke ) and mainly comprises Doldinger's compositions for film and television. The best-known pieces include the Tatort theme song (1970) and the theme songs for the films Das Boot (1981) and The Neverending Story (1984).
