Elise Kellond-Knight (born August 10, 1990 in Southport , Queensland ) is an Australian national soccer player . She has been under contract with Kristianstads DFF since March 2020 .
Career
societies
Kellond-Knight played from 2008 to 2009 for the Australian first division team Queensland Roar and then, until 2011, for the same club, which however gave itself the name Brisbane Roar . In 2009 and 2011 she received the Young Player of the Year Award .
For the 2011/12 season she moved on loan to the Danish first division club Fortuna Hjørring from the town of the same name in the Nordjylland region and returned to Australia in November 2011 after only a few appearances. From 2012 to 2015 she was again active for Brisbane Roar in the W-League , interrupted by a three-month loan to Japanese first division club Iga FC Kunoichi in the summer of 2014.
For the 2015/16 season Kellond-Knight was signed by Bundesliga club 1. FFC Turbine Potsdam . Her Bundesliga debut on August 28, 2015 (1st matchday) in the 1: 3 defeat in the away game against FC Bayern Munich she crowned with her first goal, the opening goal in the 51st minute.
After positions at Hammarby IF , Melbourne City FC , Reign FC and Washington Spirit , she moved from Brisbane Roar to the Swedish league to Kristianstads DFF in March 2020 . However, she is out for the rest of the season because she tore a cruciate ligament on matchday 2 .
National team
For the senior national team she made her debut on May 21, 2010 in a 3-1 win against South Korea's selection in the group game of the Asian Cup . Against this national team, she scored her first international goal on May 22, 2014 with the 2-1 winning goal in the 77th minute in the semi-finals of the Asian Cup . With the team she took part in the World Cup, which was held in Germany from June 26th to July 17th, played all three group games and was eliminated from the tournament after losing 3-1 in the quarter-final against Sweden .
