The Finanzamt Schöneberg is a local financial authority in Berlin and a tax office of the city of Berlin. It is subordinate to the Senate Department for Finance (Tax Department ) in Berlin and has the Federal Tax Office number 1118.

tasks

The Schöneberg tax office is responsible for the taxation of all natural persons living in the Schöneberg district and also for the administration of inheritance and gift tax for all of Berlin.

building

The tax office building is located at Potsdamer Strasse 140 at the corner of Bülowstrasse 85-88 in the Schöneberg district . The listed complex was built in 1950–1951 and 1955–1957 by Paul Schwebes for the Berlin Disconto Bank , which merged with Deutsche Bank in 1929 . As a German architect of post-war modernism , Schwebes was of outstanding regional importance for Berlin architecture in the post-war period .

Immediately after the Second World War , the listed Olex house was also a location for the tax office.
