This list names the tax offices in Berlin .

General

The federal capital Berlin has a total of 23 tax offices. 17 regional tax offices , which are responsible for the taxation of natural persons living in the respective district. The names of some tax offices, such as B. at the tax office Wedding in the district Mitte , still refer to the old districts . Some of the tax offices have additional tasks that they perform for the whole of Berlin. There are also 4 corporate income tax offices responsible for the taxation of corporations and associations, the tax office for investigations and criminal matters , which is responsible for tax investigations, and the Technische Finanzamt Berlin (TFA) . As the computer center of the state tax administration, it is responsible for calculating taxes using automatic taxation procedures.

After the tripartite financial administration was no longer compulsory by law due to the amendment of the Financial Administration Act in 2001 , the OFD Berlin , located at Bredtschneiderstraße 5, was dissolved in 2005, and the tax offices have been directly subordinate to the Senate Administration for Finances since then .

The 23 tax offices employ more than 6100 people. The responsibilities of the individual authorities are regulated in the ordinance on special jurisdiction regulations in the area of financial administration of the State of Berlin - Tax Offices Responsibility Ordinance (FÄZustVO) .
