The Ministry of Finance (Polish: Ministerstwo Finansów , abbreviated MF ) is one of the ministries of the Republic of Poland . It is responsible for the country's financial policy. It is therefore responsible for the creation, implementation and control of the state budget , public finances (income and expenditure, debts, taxes, customs duties), the control of banking and insurance as well as subordinate financial institutions. The Ministry of Finance is the owner or partner of various companies, according to the Warsaw Stock Exchange .
The Ministry is located at 12 Świętokrzyska Street in Warsaw . In 2013, the Ministry's headquarters employed 2170 people.
