Fredrik Dahlström

Fredrik Dahlström (born November 1, 1971 ) is a former Swedish football player . The striker played over a hundred games in the Allsvenskan .

Career

Dahlström made his debut in the 1992 season for Malmö FF . In the following season he established himself under coach Viggo Jensen as a regular player, but was in the 1994 and 1995 seasons under Rolf Zetterlund in particular in the shadow of Jörgen Pettersson and increasingly moved back into the second tier.

At the beginning of 1996 Dahlström moved to Djurgårdens IF within Allsvenskan . He scored five goals this season for the Stockholm club and was the club's top scorer together with Zoran Stojcevski . However, the club occupied a relegation place, in the second division Dahlström remained loyal to the club. There he scored 14 goals, the direct resurgence he missed with the team coached by Michael Andersson , which had finished the season as second in the table behind local rivals Hammarby IF , in the relegation against Östers IF . In the 1998 season he was even more successful in the storm duo with Lucas Nilsson with 16 goals this season, at the end of the season he returned with the club as the second division season winner in the Allsvenskan. There the team was in a relegation battle again, despite a coach change to Zoran Lukić and Sören Åkeby , the team missed relegation at the end of 1999 .

Dahlström moved after relegated to Assyriska Föreningen in the newly founded Superettan . After a year in the second division again under coach Rolf Zetterlund, he ended his active career.
