Lucas Nilsson (born July 16, 1973 in Nyköping ) is a former Swedish football player . The striker was promoted four times to the Allsvenskan and three times to the Swedish second division during his career .
Career
Between first and second league
Nilsson began playing football at Björnlunda IF and eventually moved from this to Gnesta FFA, where he was on the men's team from 1992 to 1995. In the 1996 season he joined Djurgårdens IF with gaming operations in Allsvenskan. This season he missed relegation with the club as penultimate in the table. He remained loyal to the club in the second division and, as one of the top scorers alongside Fredrik Dahlström and Daniel Nannskog, helped him return to the House of Lords in 1998.
In the 1999 season, however, the level of play in the first division proved too high for the team from Stockholm. Significantly, Nilsson was the second best internal scorer behind Sharbel Touma , who scored eight goals, with just four goals this season . After 19 games in the second division season in 2000 , in which he contributed six goals to the direct resurgence, he decided to change clubs and joined the league rivals Kalmar FF .
At the club from Småland , Nilsson formed the storm duo with the newly signed Fredrik Gärdeman . During this 14 goals this season, Nilsson contributed with nine goals to the club's promotion to the Allsvenskan. In the 2002 season , however, he was only able to participate at the beginning, before he was canceled the rest of the season due to a knee injury in the game against AIK in mid-May. After he could not help the club in the ultimately futile fight against relegation, he was relegated to the second division for the third time in his career. In the following years, in which the direct ascent was successful, he was only used sporadically due to his knee injury.
Career conclusion in the amateur sector
In 2005 Nilsson switched to the amateur field at IF Sylvia . For the club from Norrköping Nilsson ran in the third-class division 2 Västra Svealand . With the team succeeded in his first year qualifying for the new double-track third division. After two games, the following season was almost over for him when he got problems with his knee again and had to have an operation. Shortly before the end of the season, he celebrated his return to the football field and achieved the relay victory in the south with the club, which meant promotion to the Superettan.
Nevertheless, Nilsson left the club and moved to Lindsdals IF in the fourth division Division 2 Mellersta Götaland . With the club he only occupied one relegation place, but was able to manage relegation there. After another year in the amateur field, he ended his active career at the end of 2008.
