The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (Polish: Ministerstwo Rolnictwa i Rozwoju Wsi - MRiRW ) is a ministry of the Republic of Poland . The authority is responsible for agricultural production, the food industry, fishing , rural development as well as the supervision of pest control and veterinary controls. The headquarters of the Ministry is located at Ulica Wspólna 30 in Warsaw . Jan Ardanowski has headed the agency since June 19, 2018 . His predecessor was Krzysztof Jurgiel .
Various state-owned agencies are subordinate to the Ministry, such as the Agencja Rynku Rolnego ( ARR , Agricultural Market Agency), the Agencja Reststrukturyzacji i Modernizacji Rolnictwa ( ARiMR , Agricultural Restructuring and Modernization Agency) and the Agencja Nieruchomości Rolnych ( ANR) , Agricultural Real Estate Agency ; also the social insurance for farmers Kasa Rolniczego Ubezpieczenia Społecznego ( KRUS ), several inspectorates and institutes.
