The Goldland-Klausenberg area is a nature and landscape protection area (NSG number 4.130, LSG number 4.15.136) in the area of the municipality of Dettingen an der Erms in the Baden-Württemberg district of Reutlingen , which was designated by the Tübingen regional council of 6 November 1985 . The nature and landscape protection area lies entirely in the Swabian Alb biosphere area .
location
The 117.3 hectare (ha) nature reserve is located north and northeast of Dettingen an der Erms . It lies on the border of the natural areas 094 Mittleres Kuppenalb and 101 Mittleres Albvorland within the natural spatial main unit 10 - Swabian Keuper-Lias-Land . In the north it borders directly on the nature reserve Neuffener Hörnle-Jusenberg and in the west on the nature reserve Jusi-Auf dem Berg .
Protection purpose
The conservation area serves to preserve the deciduous forest found in the upper area on an area of about 94 hectares as a semi-natural hillside forest, which forms a species-rich habitat for many rare and endangered plants and animal species, especially insects, amphibians and cave-breeding bird species. The species-rich, semi-arid grassland interspersed with groups of bushes and hedges with spring horizons below this forest should also be preserved.
The landscape protection area of the same name is intended as a peripheral zone to keep disruptive or impairing influences away from the NSG.
