Ursulahochberg is a nature reserve designated by ordinance of July 18, 1941 by the then Württemberg Minister of Culture with the number 4.029. The site was declared a plant protection area as early as 1933.

location

The nature reserve is located in the Mittlere Kuppenalb natural area . It is located on the plateau of the Swabian Alb southeast of the city of Pfullingen . It is part of both the FFH area No. 7521-341 Albtrauf Pfullingen and the bird protection area No. 7422-441 Middle Swabian Alb . The nature reserve lies entirely in the Swabian Alb biosphere area .

Protection purpose

The protection purpose is the preservation of the lean, single-grass meadow with its species-rich plant and animal communities.

flora

At the location are u. a. the following orchid species have been preserved: male orchid , lesser orchid , helmet orchid , burnt orchid , mosquito handelwort .
