Taubenäcker is a nature reserve designated by the Tübingen Regional Council of October 12, 1987 with the number 4.140.

location

The nature reserve is located in the natural areas of the Middle Kuppenalb and Middle Alb foreland . It is located in the Wiesaztal about 200 meters southeast of the Gönningen district of the city of Reutlingen . It is part of the FFH area No. 7520-343 Albtrauf between Mössingen and Gönningen and of the bird sanctuary No. 7422-441 Middle Swabian Alb . The nature reserve lies entirely in the Swabian Alb biosphere area .

Protection purpose

According to the ordinance, the main protection purpose is the preservation of a diverse, species-rich floodplain landscape with spring pots, wet biotopes such as alluvial forests, reeds, spring horizons, wet meadows, orchards, ruderal areas with numerous rare and endangered plant and animal species as a retreat in the Wiesaztal.

Flora and fauna

The area includes a species-rich ruderal area , which is a habitat and retreat for numerous plant species such as two-column hollow tooth , colorful hollow tooth , slit-leaved cranesbill and many- seeded broad- leaved plantain . The endangered meadow horsetail occurs in the area of the area's source horizons . Which passes through the area Wiesaz is regularly inspected by birds kingfisher , gray wagtail and dippers consulted.
