The FFH area Albtrauf between Mössingen and Gönningen is located in the middle of Baden-Württemberg and is part of the European Natura 2000 network of protected areas . It was designated in 2005 by the Tübingen regional council.

location

The Albtrauf protected area between Mössingen and Gönningen is around 3567 hectares (ha) and lies in the natural areas of the Middle Alb foreland and Middle Kuppenalb . The two sub-areas are located in the communities of Reutlingen , Sonnenbühl and Pfullingen in the Reutlingen district, in Mössingen in the Tübingen district and in Burladingen in the Zollernalb district.

description

The nature of the landscape of the protected area is mainly determined by the steep and wooded slopes of the Albtraufs with rock walls and rubble heaps. There are extensive orchards on the lower slopes.
