The fauna and flora habitat ( FFH area ) Salmendingen / Sonnenbühl is located in the middle of Baden-Württemberg and was designated in 2005 by the Tübingen regional council.

location

The 293 hectare Salmendingen / Sonnenbühl protected area is located in the Mittlere Kuppenalb natural area in the Zollernalb district with the municipality of Burladingen and in the Reutlingen district with the municipality of Sonnenbühl . The area consists of four sub-areas.

description

The landscape character of the protected area is essentially shaped by the numerous peaks of the Middle Kuppenalb, such as the Kornbühl near Salmendingen. The vegetation is characterized by juniper heaths, field hedges, flower-colored hay meadows and grasslands.
