The FFH area Prim-Albvorland is located in the south of Baden-Württemberg and is part of the European Natura 2000 network of protected areas . It was registered in 2005 by the Freiburg Regional Council. With the ordinance of the regional council of Freiburg on the definition of areas of community importance of October 25, 2018, the protected area was established.

The 1305 hectare protected area Prim-Albvorland lies in the natural areas of Obere Gäue and Southwestern Albvorland . The twelve sub-areas are located in the Rottweil district with the communities of Dietingen , Rottweil and Wellendingen , in the Tuttlingen district with the communities of Denkingen and Frittlingen and in the Zollernalb district with the communities of Schömberg , Weilen unter den Rinnen and rooms under the castle .
