The Linsenbergweiher is a nature reserve in the Baden-Württemberg community of Rottweil in the district of the same name.

Characteristics

The area was designated as a nature reserve by ordinance of the Freiburg Regional Council of October 6, 1981 and after an expansion in 2000 it now has a size of 29.4 hectares. It is listed under the protected area number 3.256. The CDDA code for the nature reserve is 82103 and corresponds to the WDPA ID .

location

The nature reserve is located around 1,000 meters north of the center of the Rottweiler suburb of Göllsdorf on the edge of the gravel catchment of the waters of the Neckar, Eschach, Prim and several smaller brooks that flow together in the Rottweiler valley nodes, immediately in front of the spring-rich landslides from Keuper marl of the Prim-Alb foreland. The pond itself was only created artificially for fishing about 35 years ago. It borders on the 118 hectare protected landscape area No. 3.25.036 Jungbrunnental , at the same time it is part of the 2,203 hectare FFH area No. 7818-341 Prim-Albvorland . The NSG Neckarburg is located in the natural area 122- Obere Gäue within the natural main unit 12- Neckar- and Tauber-Gäuplatten .

Protection purpose

The main protection purpose is the preservation and development of water areas and riparian zones with reed beds as a habitat for rare and endangered bird species, the preservation and development of large sedge beds, rushes, moist and flower-colored farm meadows and the preservation of a juniper heath that characterizes the landscape.
