Göllsdorf is a district of Rottweil , between the Black Forest and the Swabian Alb and has around 1853 inhabitants. The village lies between Primtal and Jungbrunnental and is dominated by the Dissenhorn and the Falkenberg. The Hasler Hof homestead also belongs to Göllsdorf .

The incumbent mayor is Wolfgang Dreher.

history

Göllsdorf was mentioned in writing for the first time in 1099 as "Geroldistorf".

In 1185 the village was given away to the Berau women's monastery, which was subordinate to the St. Blasien monastery. After years of ongoing disputes with the imperial city of Rottweil, the monastery then sold the village to the imperial city in 1466, in whose possession it remained for almost 350 years. When Rottweil became part of Württemberg in 1802, Göllsdorf became independent.

Since the incorporation on October 1, 1972, Göllsdorf has been part of the large district town of Rottweil.

traffic

Göllsdorf is located between federal highway 14 in the south and federal highway 27 in the north, to which a road leads across the Falkenberg.

Göllsdorf is spatially separated from the core city of Rottweiler by the Stuttgart-Singen railway line . As part of the Ringzug rail transport system , a train stop was built on the track between Rottweil and Tuttlingen in 2004. The ring train runs every two hours.

Due to the local transport concept, which was introduced in 2000, there is a half-hourly bus to Rottweil on weekdays, supplemented by the hourly bus service to Neukirch, which not only runs through Feckenhausen and Zepfenhan but also through Göllsdorf.

Social institutions and organizations

The primary school in Göllsdorf is attended by students in grades 1 to 4 from the districts of Göllsdorf and Feckenhausen. In the past, the school was also a secondary school.
