Albeck is a designated nature reserve with the number 3.085 near Sulz am Neckar by ordinance of the then regional council of Südwürttemberg-Hohenzollern in Tübingen from August 2nd, 1971 . In the course of the nature conservation ordinance, the landscape conservation ordinance "Sheep pasture near the Albeck ruins" from 1959 was partially repealed. The landscape protection area now extends to the 0.6 hectare parcel around the Albeck ruins and its immediate surroundings.
location
The reserve is located in the Obere Gäue natural area . It is located south-west of the town of Sulz am Neckar on a steep slope of the Upper Muschelkalks , which slopes east to south to a small side valley of the Neckar valley. The protected area is part of the FFH area No. 7717-341 Neckartal between Rottweil and Sulz .
Flora and fauna
The semi-arid grasslands of the area are populated by the endangered buck-belt tongue and other orchid species. Other plant species are fine-leaved chickweed , German fringed gentian , common fringed gentian and twisted lobed dandelion . The endangered species of the honeysuckle caped owl , lettuce monk , sedge moth owl and horseshoe clover ram stand out from the butterfly fauna .
