Mittlere Bollerhalde is a nature reserve with the number 3.149 near Oberndorf am Neckar in the district of Rottweil in Baden-Württemberg , which was designated by ordinance of the Freiburg Regional Council of September 4, 1985 .

location

The protected area is a juniper heather , which is about 900 meters north-northeast of Altoberndorf on a southern slope of the Neckar valley . The protected area belongs to the Obere Gäue natural area and is part of the FFH area No. 7717-341 Neckar Valley between Rottweil and Sulz .

According to the ordinance, the main protection purpose is to maintain the protected parts

as a habitat for flora and fauna typical of the upper Neckar valley with a multitude of rare and in some cases endangered animal and plant species;
as a man-made landscape of special character and beauty.

Protected species in the area include spring gentian , pasque flower , fly ragwort, and mosquito hhandelwort . The swallowtail , the little meadow bird , the big ox-eye and the chessboard must be mentioned on protected butterflies . Among the reptiles, the endangered species wall lizard and smooth snake are to be emphasized. The bushes of the juniper heather serve as a retreat for the red-backed shrike .
