The FFH area Albvorland near Mössingen and Reutlingen is located in central Baden-Württemberg and is part of the European Natura 2000 network of protected areas . It was designated in 2015 by the merger of the two already existing FFH areas Albvorland near Mössingen and Mittleres Albvorland near Reutlingen by the Tübingen regional council.

The approximately 3168 hectare (ha) large protected area Albvorland near Mössingen and Reutlingen is located in the natural areas of the Middle Alb foreland , Schönbuch and Glemswald , the southwestern Alb foreland and the Middle Area Alb . The 18 sub-areas are located in the communities of Hechingen (Zollernalbkreis), Bodelshausen , Dußlingen , Gomaringen , Mössingen , Nehren and Ofterdingen (all districts of Tübingen), Eningen under Achalm , Metzingen , Pfullingen , Pliezhausen , Reutlingen and Riederich (all districts of Reutlingen) and Neckartenzlingen (Esslingen district).

The landscape character of the protected area is essentially shaped by the cultural landscape of the densely populated central foothills of the Alb. In the lower elevations, lean meadows and orchards dominate the landscape, the higher elevations are mostly forested.
