The FFH area Neckar and side valleys near Rottenburg in Baden-Württemberg was designated in 2005 by the Tübingen regional council.

location

The 636 hectare protected area Neckar and side valleys near Rottenburg lies in the natural areas Neckar- and Tauber-Gäuplatten and Swabian Keuper-Lias-Land . The district of Tübingen with the communities Rottenburg am Neckar , Starzach , Hirrlingen and Neustetten , with 31% of the Zollernalb district with the community of Rangendingen , and with 2.5% of the district of Freudenstadt with the community of Eutingen im have shares in the area Gäu . It essentially comprises the course of the Neckar from Börstingen to Rottenburg and its tributaries Starzel , Katzenbach and Seltenbach . The area consists of three sub-areas.
