The FFH area Kaltenbronner Enzhöhen is a protected area (protected area identifier DE-7316-341) in the German state of Baden-Wuerttemberg registered in 2005 by the Karlsruhe regional council according to Directive 92/43 / EEC (Fauna-Flora-Habitat Directive) . With the ordinance of the regional council of Karlsruhe on the definition of areas of community importance of October 12, 2018, the protected area was established.

The 1055.67 hectare FFH area belongs to the natural areas 151- Grindenschwarzwald and Enzhöhen and 152- Northern Black Forest within the natural spatial main unit 15- Black Forest .
It is located southwest of Bad Wildbad and extends over the markings of four cities and municipalities.
District of Calw:
- Bad Wildbad : 432.8232 ha = 41%
- Enzklösterle : 137.2366 ha = 13%
Freudenstadt district:
- Seewald : 10.5566 ha = 1%
Rastatt district:
- Gernsbach : 475.0499 ha = 45%
Description and purpose of protection
It is the largest raised bog complex and the largest raised bog in the Black Forest and in all of Germany with typical low mountain streams and side valleys that drain into the large Enz Valley. The area is characterized by large bog pine forests, larger open bog areas, block debris heaps, extensively used mountain hay meadows and lean and bristle grass lawns.

Contiguous protected areas
The FFH area consists of seven sub-areas. It overlaps in large parts with the landscape protection areas Middle Murgtal and Large and Small Enztal with side valleys as well as the bird sanctuary of the Northern Black Forest . It is completely located in the Black Forest Middle / North Nature Park . The nature reserve 2222- Kaltenbronn lies within the area .
