The FFH area Calwer Heckengäu is a protected area (protected area identifier DE-7218-341) in the German state of Baden-Württemberg that was registered in 2005 by the Karlsruhe regional council in accordance with Directive 92/43 / EEC (Fauna-Flora-Habitat Directive) . With the ordinance of the regional council of Karlsruhe on the definition of areas of community importance of October 12, 2018, the protected area was established.

The widely scattered, 2046.2 hectare protected area belongs to the natural areas 122 - Obere Gäue , 123 - Neckar basin and 150 - Black Forest edge plates . The area extends over the markings of twelve cities and municipalities in the districts of Böblingen, Calw and Enzkreis:

Description and purpose of protection

Coiled shell limestone plateau with a representative, richly structured landscape of the Heckengäus. The protected area consists of 48 sub-areas.
