Gültlinger and wood Bronner Heiden is with regulation of the Regional Council Karlsruhe from 22. January 1991 been trained nature reserve with the number 2140 and an eponymous conservation area with the number 2.35.045. In the year following the ordinance, the area was supplemented by the Gebersack nature reserve .
location
The protected areas are located in the natural areas of Obere Gäue and Schwarzwald-Randplatten . 98% of the nature reserve is part of FFH area no. 7218-341 Calwer Heckengäu . The nature reserve is located east of the Nagold Valley , between the district town of Calw in the north and the town of Wildberg in the south. It consists of 8 sub-areas, which are located around the sub-municipality Validlingen of the city of Wildberg (starting in the northeast of Validlingen and continuing clockwise): Löchle and Gissibel (around 38 hectares), Lerchenberg (around 30 hectares), Killberg and Heidenbühl (around 150 hectares), Kapf and Bildstöckle (around 75 hectares), Ban (around 10 hectares), Maidelgrund (around 30 hectares), Buch (around 21 hectares) and Benzenlehle (around 10 hectares). The LSG almost completely encloses the eight sub-areas of the NSG.
Protection purpose
The areas were designated as nature and landscape protection areas by a joint ordinance issued by the Karlsruhe Regional Council on January 22, 1991. According to this ordinance, the protection purpose is the preservation, development and care of the mosaic-like landscape of the "Nagold-Heckengäus" and "Würm-Heckengäus" as a habitat for typical, specialized and endangered animal and plant species, in particular as a location for semi-arid grassland, stony, shallow arable land rich wild herb flora and with larger orchards as relics of historical fruit tree belts.

Sixteen different types of orchid thrive on the semi-arid grasslands of the area, including the orchid orchid , the fragrant hendelwort , the bee ragwort and the bumblebee ragwort . German gentian , fringed gentian and cross gentian can be found on the semi-dry lawn grazed by sheep .
