Hesel-, Brand- and Kohlmisse is a nature reserve designated by the Karlsruhe Regional Council of December 10, 1993 with the number 2.169.

location

The nature reserve is located in the natural areas of Grindenschwarzwald and Enzhöhen and Schwarzwald-Randplatten . It is located around five kilometers west of the municipality of Oberreichenbach on a high plateau between Nagold and Enz . Three Waldmore form the core area of ​​the protected area: Heselmisse (around 50 hectares), Brandmisse (around 50 hectares) and Kohlmisse (around 54 hectares). The nature reserve is part of the FFH area No. 7317-341 Kleinenztal and Black Forest rim plates and is flanked in the north, south and west by landscape protection area No. 2.35.027 Großer and Kleines Enztal with side valleys .

Protection purpose

According to the ordinance, the protection purpose is the preservation, development and care of the richly structured forests and forest moors of the eastern Black Forest edge plates, which have been shaped by humans for centuries . The missigen and moored areas serve as a habitat for typical, rare and specialized animal and plant species. In particular, the various peat mosses, potted ferns, sweet and sour grasses, heather plants, small mammals, birds, amphibians, reptiles, insects and arachnids are to be protected.

Flora and fauna

The vegetation is characterized by the common cranberry and other acid indicators . In the missions of the area, capercaillie , woodcock and rough owl have ideal living conditions.
