Waldmoor-Torfstich is a nature reserve designated by the Karlsruhe Regional Council of May 20, 1983 with the number 2.024 and also a protected forest area of the same name . The NSG ordinance from 1983 replaces the ordinance of the Württemberg Minister of Culture on the Waldmoor-Torfstich nature reserve from 23 August 1937.
location
The protected area is around 600 meters west of the municipality of Oberreichenbach . It is located in the natural area of the Black Forest edge plates and is part of the FFH area No. 7317-341 Kleinenztal and Black Forest edge plates .
Protection purpose
According to the ordinance, the protection purpose is the preservation of the moor and Missen area for ecological and scientific reasons:
- the high moor with the embedded small flat moor, in particular with its strongly expanding moss vegetation and the characteristic plant communities;
- the boggy and boggy soil formation in the forest with the naturally developing vegetation, especially a large number of types of fungus, as well as endangered and endangered animal species.
Spell forest
The protected forest, also designated as Waldmoor-Torfstich , by ordinance of the Karlsruhe Forest Directorate of June 2, 1998, has a size of 65.5 hectares. It has the protected area number 100016. The protection purpose of the Bannwald is to secure the uninfluenced development of the forest moor ecosystem with its animal and plant species as well as to guarantee the scientific observation of the development. The spell forest is almost congruent with the nature reserve.
fauna
The following were found in endangered bird species: hazel grouse , capercaillie and woodcock . The following have been identified in endangered butterfly species: blueberry and silver owl and tooth rust capsule tensioner .
