The FFH area Enztal near Mühlacker is a protected area (protected area identifier DE-7018-342) in the German state of Baden-Wuerttemberg registered in 2005 by the Karlsruhe regional council according to Directive 92/43 / EEC (Fauna-Flora-Habitat Directive) . With the ordinance of the regional council of Karlsruhe on the definition of areas of community importance of October 12, 2018, the protected area was established.

The 3067.4 hectare FFH area belongs to the natural areas 123- Neckar basin , 124- Strom- and Heuchelberg , 125- Kraichgau and 150- Black Forest edge plates within the natural spatial main units 12- Neckar- and Tauber-Gäuplatten and 15- Black Forest . It lies between Ölbronn-Dürrn in the west and Vaihingen an der Enz in the east and extends over the markings of nine cities and municipalities.

Description and purpose of protection
It is the diverse landscape of the western Neckar basin with flood plains and impact slopes with dry grass and ledges. There are also large forests, meadow areas with pronounced soil moisture gradients and bog formation, as well as orchards. There are eight caves in the area.

Contiguous protected areas
The FFH area consists of numerous sub-areas. It intersects with several landscape protection areas . A smaller part of the area near Vaihingen is part of the Enztal Mühlhausen - Roßwag bird sanctuary and in the northern part there are areas in the Stromberg-Heuchelberg nature park
