The nature and landscape protection area Bauschlotter Au is located in the area of ​​the communities Neulingen and Ölbronn-Dürrn in the Enzkreis in Baden-Württemberg .

Characteristics

The area was designated as a nature reserve under the protection area number 2221 by ordinance of the Karlsruhe regional council of December 22, 1999. This ordinance came into force on January 27, 2000 when it was published in the Law Gazette for Baden-Württemberg. The CDDA code is 318174 and corresponds to the WDPA ID .

location

The protected area lies between the built-up areas of Neulingen and Ölbronn-Dürrn. The nature and landscape protection area 2092- Erlen-, Metten- and Gründelbach lowlands borders directly to the east. Almost all of it belongs to the FFH area No. 7018-342 Enztal near Mühlacker . It is located in the natural areas 124- Strom- and Heuchelberg and 125- Kraichgau within the natural spatial main unit 12- Neckar- and Tauber-Gäuplatten .

Protection purpose

According to the Protected Area Ordinance, the main protection purpose is conservation, maintenance and development

  • the basin of the Bauschlotter Au as an open meadow landscape structured by a few trees at the source of the Erlenbach and its tributaries with the tributaries dividing the valley;
  • of species-rich rough meadows, small wetlands and orchards as well as small trees, bushes and hedge trains;
  • the hardwood forests characterized by native plant species;
  • the herbaceous vegetation in the open countryside and in the edges of the woods;
  • the fauna that is typical for these valuable habitats, especially for the open meadows and forests, especially rare bird species, some of which are threatened with extinction.
