Neuhausen-Biet is a protected landscape area in the Enzkreis (protected area number 2.36.041) in Baden-Württemberg .

Location and description

The approximately 1,936 hectare landscape protection area was created by ordinance of the Enzkreis District Office of August 26, 2004. When this ordinance came into force, the Pforzheim District Office's ordinance on the protection of parts of the landscape in the Würmtal in the districts of Mühlhausen, Steinegg, Tiefenbronn, Hamberg and Würm came into effect on October 18 1939 and the ordinance of the Enzkreis district office for the protection of parts of the landscape in the area of the Monbachtal on the Neuhausen district of July 31, 1940, partially ceased to be in force, insofar as they extended to the scope of this ordinance.

The protected area consists of two sub-areas and covers the entire municipality of Neuhausen with the exception of the built-up areas with some development areas. It belongs to the natural areas 122- Obere Gäue and 150- Black Forest edge plates within the natural spatial main units 12- Neckar- and Tauber-Gäuplatten and 15- Black Forest . Several landscape protection areas follow. Small parts of the protected area are located in FFH area No. 7118-341 Würm-Nagold-Pforte .

The nature reserves 2024- Klebwald , 2115- Monbach, Maisgraben and St. Leonhardquelle and 2189- Unteres Würmtal border directly on the landscape protection area.

Protection purpose

According to the Protected Area Ordinance, the main protection purpose is conservation

  • the diversity, uniqueness and beauty of the landscape. This is due in particular to the varied picture between the valley and plateaus and the geological diversity;
  • the special recreational value of this spatially diverse landscape;
  • of the Würmtal as valuable green and local recreational areas;
  • of the spacious areas as part of a large-scale biotope network system.

The protective purpose is also to ensure that the natural balance is largely still balanced and ecologically intact.
