Protection purpose

The purpose of protection is the preservation, protection and maintenance of biologically diverse habitats on the clearing island of the Füllmenbacher Hof, in particular

  • the mosaic of vineyards, extensively used grassland and wasteland properties on Hofberg and Häuslesberg,
  • the species-rich, moderately fresh to moist meadows north and northwest of the farm,
  • of the pond and its bank areas,
  • the wet meadows in the lower valley,
  • the thermophilic fringe communities of the forest fringes including the directly adjacent deciduous forests. In particular, the animal and plant species that rely on these diverse, mosaic-like interlocking habitats are to be preserved, secured, promoted and the numerous species threatened with extinction protected. The protection purpose is also the preservation of the most important scenic part of the cleared island, which is worth protecting because of its special character and beauty.

Fauna & flora

The Streitenbachtal in which the Füllmenbacher Hof is located offers countless insects and animals habitat. Among other frequently encountered fire butterflies , deer beetles as well as many species of birds ( wagtails , swallows , peregrine , Woodlark and kites ).
