The Mühlhausen rock garden nature reserve is located in the area of the town of Mühlacker in the Enzkreis in Baden-Württemberg .
Characteristics
The area was designated as a nature reserve under the protection area number 2233 by ordinance of the Karlsruhe regional council of July 30, 2012. This regulation came into force on September 15, 2012 when it was published in the Law Gazette for Baden-Württemberg. The CDDA code is 555552564 and corresponds to the WDPA ID .
location
The protected area is located northeast of the Mühlack district of Mühlhausen. It is a bulging slope of the Enz . The conservation area 2.36.015- Enztal loops encloses the NSG partially. It belongs completely to the FFH area No. 7018-342 Enztal near Mühlacker and also to the bird sanctuary 7019-441- Enztal Mühlhausen - Roßwag . It is located in the natural area 123- Neckar basin within the natural main unit 12- Neckar- and Tauber-Gäuplatten .
Protection purpose
According to the Protected Area Ordinance, the main protection purpose is the preservation, safeguarding and development of the impact slope of the Enz with its natural rock formations and vineyards, with the natural rocks and rubble heaps at the foot of the rock, the rock bushes, the lime pioneer lawns, poor grasslands and lean meadows as well as the dry stone walls.
The protection purpose is also the preservation, safeguarding and development of the habitat types occurring in the area and the populations occurring in the area according to Annex I of the Birds Directive and Annex II of the Habitats Directive.
