Enzaue bei Roßwag and Burghalde is a nature reserve in the area of the Roßwag district of the large district town of Vaihingen an der Enz in the Ludwigsburg district (NSG number 1.125) in Baden-Württemberg . With an ordinance of September 11, 1984, the Stuttgart Regional Council placed the area under nature protection.

The nature reserve is located in the Roßwag district in a loop of the Enz river . It is part of the FFH area No. 7018-342 Enztal near Mühlacker and the bird sanctuary No. 7019-441 Enztal near Mühlhausen-Roßwag .

Protection purpose

The purpose of protection is to maintain the character of the Enzaue, which is characterized by meadows, individual trees and groups of trees, and to secure valuable plant locations in the »Burghalde« and on the wooded Enzufer through appropriate use. The river and the bank areas should retain their natural character.
