The Greutterwald lies for the most part in the Stuttgart municipality and was declared a nature reserve (NSG) in 1984.
location
The NSG Greutterwald has an area of 151.3 hectares. The largest part, namely 149.4 hectares, is in the Stuttgart municipality, only 1.9 hectares are in the Korntal-Münchingen area in the Ludwigsburg district . The NSG is located on the Stuttgart district in the districts of Weilimdorf , Zuffenhausen and Feuerbach .
Protection purpose
The ordinance cites the protection and preservation of extensively used orchards with adjacent forest, smaller water areas and wetlands as an ecologically valuable compensation area in the urban area.
