The nature reserve is located in the Schönbuch and Glemswald natural area . It is located in the area of ​​the state capital Stuttgart between Büsnau and Vaihingen .

Protection purpose

According to the ordinance, the protection purpose is the preservation of the diverse structured meadow landscape as a habitat for numerous plant and animal species that are highly endangered in the agglomeration.

Flora and fauna

The area's inventory of species includes over 260 plant species, 7 amphibian species and over 100 bird species. Among the plant species, the globe flower should be mentioned, which has become a rarity in the central Neckar area. The amphibian species are: common toad , tree frog , pond frog , small water frog , common frog , mountain newt and pond newt . Among the bird species, snipe , whinchat and woodcock must be highlighted.
