The Häslachwald is a nature reserve (NSG number 1.180) designated by ordinance of the Stuttgart regional council of July 22, 1991 in the area of ​​the state capital Stuttgart and the city of Ostfildern in the Baden-Württemberg district of Esslingen .

location

The 53.6 hectare nature reserve is 45 hectares in the south of Stuttgart on the Plieningen district and forms part of the Körschtal . An area of ​​8.6 hectares belongs to the city of Ostfildern, Kemnat district. It is located in the natural areas 105- Stuttgarter Bucht and 106- Filder within the natural spatial main unit 10- Swabian Keuper-Lias-Land . The NSG also belongs to the FFH area 7321-341 Filder .

Protection purpose

The purpose of protection is to secure and maintain an ecologically and biologically valuable multi-faceted mosaic of habitats for a multitude of sometimes rare, species of plants and animals in need of protection, as well as a scenic, outstanding part of the cultural landscape.
