The FFH area Alb between Jusi and Teck is a protected area (protected area identifier DE-7422-311) in the German state of Baden- which was registered in 2005 by the Stuttgart regional council in accordance with Directive 92/43 / EEC (Fauna-Flora-Habitat Directive). Württemberg . From 2005 to 2015 there were two areas, namely Hohenneuffen, Jusi and Baßgeige as well as Lenninger Tal and Teckberg . The LUBW merged the two areas in 2015, whereby the protected areas have changed insignificantly. With the ordinance of the regional council of Stuttgart on the definition of areas of community importance of October 30, 2018, the protected area was established.

The 3565.3 hectare protected area belongs to the natural areas 094 - Middle Kuppenalb and 101 - Foreland of the middle Swabian Alb within the natural spatial units 09 - Swabian Alb and 10 - Swabian Keuper-Lias-Land . It runs almost continuously along the Albtrauf from Jusi near Kohlberg to Weilheim an der Teck and extends over the markings of twelve cities and communities in the districts of Esslingen and Reutlingen:

- Römerstein - 106.96 ha = 3%
Description, protection purpose
It is a contiguous area with 149 caves. There you will find the striking Teck mountain. The valley head of the Lauter near Gutenberg with deeply cut side valleys represents a typical section of the eaves of the Middle Kuppenalb with Upper Jurassic rock rim, limestone beech forests, juniper heaths, limestone grasslands, woodruff and orchid beech forests, ravine forests, rocks and caves, limestone scree slopes and tuff springs Numerous volcanic vents in the Kirchheim-Urach volcanic area (Jusi as the largest vent) with geological outcrops are located in the protected area.
