Protection purpose

Jusi rise. Right Kohlberg

The need for protection of the Jusi arises u. a. from its special geological features, its overall landscape shape and its cultural and historical significance. It is a diversely structured, volcanic landscape with heathland, bushes, hedges, orchards, extensive, species-rich meadows, natural deciduous forests and warmth-loving forest fringes. This high value as a habitat for numerous, in part highly endangered, plants and animals and the high structural wealth are the main reasons why Jusi is worthy of protection.
