The Albtrauf Kohlberg landscape protection area is a protected landscape area (LSG number 1.16.064) on the Albtrauf in the Baden-Württemberg community of Kohlberg , which was designated by the Lower Nature Conservation Authority at the Esslingen District Office of December 28, 1992 .

location

The 29.0 hectare area is located at the northern foot of the Jusi and naturally belongs to the Middle Alb foreland . It is located south of the municipality of Kohlberg and borders the nature reserve No. 1192 Jusi - Auf dem Berg .

Protection purpose

The main protection purpose is the safeguarding and long-term preservation of the foot of the Jusihang in its natural character and thus the typical appearance of this widely visible and geologically valuable mountain of volcanic origin. It also serves as a supplementary area for the nature reserve.
