The landscape protection area around Nürtingen, Neckarhausen and Raidwangen is a landscape protection area (LSG number 1.16.062) in the area of the city of Nürtingen , which was designated by the Lower Nature Conservation Authority at the Esslingen District Office of February 21, 1983 .
Location and description
The 440 hectare area is located in the Raidwangen and Neckarhausen districts of Nürtingen . The nature reserve belongs to the Middle Alb foreland and the Filder .
The protected area consists of three sub-areas. The largest sub-area in terms of area is the area around Raidwangen. The extensive natural monuments volcanic embryo Kräuterbühl and volcanic embryo Staufenbühl are located in the LSG , with the southern part of the Staufenbühl in LSG Autmuttal near Großbettlingen, Geigersbühl and Gewann Gelber Brunnen .
Protection purpose
According to the Protected Areas Ordinance, the essential protection purpose is the securing and long-term preservation of ecologically and scenically valuable areas as green breaks and open spaces between the settlement areas.
