The Aichtal landscape protection area with adjacent areas is a protected landscape area (LSG number 1.16.066) in the area of ​​the cities of Aichtal and Nürtingen that was designated by the Lower Nature Conservation Authority at the Esslingen District Office of January 10, 1985 .

Location and description

The 536 hectare area consists of three sub-areas and is located in the Aich valley between the Hardt district of Nürtingen and the border with the Boeblingen district near Burkhardtsmühle and belongs to the Schönbuch and Glemswald and Filder natural areas .

Protection purpose

According to the Protected Area Ordinance, the main protection purpose is the preservation of its recreational value as a local recreation area as well as its scenic attraction for the general public, the preservation of the diversity and natural character of this landscape, in particular the preservation of the streams, meadow meadows, hedges, orchards and dry grass areas as well as the preservation of open spaces in the agglomeration as a natural habitat for plants and animals.
