Lukas Kainz

Lukas Kainz (born September 2, 1995 in Mödling ) is an Austrian ice hockey player who has been under contract with the EC Graz 99ers in the Erste Bank Ice Hockey League since 2018 .

Career

Lukas Kainz began his career with the Vienna Ice Skating Club . In 2010 he moved to the RB Hockey Academy in Salzburg and went through the youth teams there. During the 2014/15 season he made his debut for EC Red Bull Salzburg in the Erste Bank Eishockey Liga . In December 2014, he also took part in Division IA of the U20 Junior World Championship , in which the Austrian U20 national team took fifth place.

By 2018, Kainz had completed a total of 33 EBEL games for EC Red Bull Salzburg. In the 2017/18 season he was mainly active for the club's second team in the Alps Hockey League , scoring 8 goals and ten assists in 37 games. For the 2018/19 season, Kainz switched to the EC Graz 99ers within the EBEL and received a two-year contract.

Kainz has been in a relationship with the daughter of Hans-Peter Steinacher since around 2016 .
