The Tannenhalde is a nature reserve designated by the Tübingen regional council on May 2, 1980 by ordinance in the area of ​​the municipalities of Langenenslingen (Biberach district) and Zwiefalten (Reutlingen district). It is part of the FFH area Glastal, Großer Buchwald and Tautschbuch .

location

The Tannenhalde nature reserve is located about one kilometer north of the village of Dürrenwaldstetten in the Middle Area Alb natural area and in the geological unit of the Upper Jura .

Landscape character

The area is mostly forested. It includes the steep valley slopes on both sides of the "Kohltal", a dry valley of the Alb plateau. In the past, due to the difficult topography, forestry use was only possible to a very limited extent, and natural forest communities of various forms have emerged in the area.

Flora and fauna

In the region, among other things comes Hirschzunge and the Alpine Honeysuckle before.
