The Fertilized Ried is a nature reserve designated by the Tübingen Regional Council on March 29, 1985 by ordinance in the area of ​​the communities of Ehingen an der Donau and Schemmerhofen in the Biberach district .

location

The nature reserve Gedüngtes Ried is located approx. 1.2 kilometers northwest of the village of Ingerkingen in the districts of Kirchbierlingen (western part) and Ingerkingen (eastern part). The area is part of the natural environment hills of the lower tear .

Protection purpose

According to the Protected Area Ordinance, the main protection purpose is "the preservation of the fen as a habitat for numerous animal and plant species threatened with extinction, including their communities, as well as a resting place and feeding ground for migrating bird species."

Landscape character

The reserve consists of litter meadows, wet bushes and a small succession forest in the eastern part. It is drained by the Mooswiesengraben and the Rußgraben , which also form the northern and southern regional borders.
