The Wilde Ried is a nature reserve in the area of ​​the city of Bad Schussenried in the district of Biberach , which was declared by the regional council of Südwürttemberg-Hohenzollern on January 19, 1960 by ordinance . It is part of the Federseeried bird sanctuary and the FFH area Federsee and Blinder See near Kanzach .

location

The Wildes Ried nature reserve is located approx. 2.8 kilometers southeast of the city of Bad Buchau in the Reichenbach district in the southern part of the Federsee basin . The area belongs to the Danube-Ablach-Platten natural area .

Landscape character

The reserve is located in a former peat mining area and is largely covered by a peat forest made of spruce, pine and birch. a more open area is in the south of the territory on a remaining Torfrücken with an uncinate pines backlog.
