The Donauwiesen river landscape nature reserve between Zwiefaltendorf and Munderkingen lies along the Danube in the area of ​​the Alb-Danube district and the Biberach district in Baden-Württemberg .

It extends over the area of ​​the communities Emeringen , Lauterach , Obermarchtal , Rechtenstein and Untermarchtal and the cities of Munderkingen and Riedlingen between Zwiefaltendorf in the west and the core town of Munderkingen in the east. The B 311 runs south .

The 582.0 ha area with the identification number 4.313 has been designated as a nature reserve since March 14, 2006.
