Ohnastetter Buhl is with regulation of the Regional Council Tübingen been instructed of 21 December 1973 Nature Reserve with the number 4074. Part of the area was placed under protection as a natural monument of Ohnastetter Heide in 1961 .

location

The nature reserve is located in the Mittlere Kuppenalb natural area . It is located on a flat southern slope west of the Ohnastetten district of the St. Johann community and is part of the FFH area No. 7521–341 Albtrauf Pfullingen .

Protection purpose

The protective purpose is the preservation of the semi-arid grassland with its species-rich plant communities.

flora

The area has long been known as a particularly rich orchid site. There come u. a. the following orchid species: male orchid , lesser orchid , helmet orchid , burnt orchid , red forest bird . The following were detected in gentians: spring gentian , cross gentian , common fringed gentian and German fringed gentian .
