  • the preservation of the attractive landscape typical of the Middle Kuppenalb due to this biotope mosaic,
  • the maintenance, care and improvement of large, semi-arid lawns with their numerous shy and sometimes highly endangered species of plants and animals, in particular numerous species of butterflies typical of the site,
  • the preservation of the sand pits in the area including the vegetation typical of the site as a cultural and historical testimony,
  • the maintenance of a biotope network between the juniper heather areas on the Geißberg and neighboring heather areas, in particular the » Steinbuckel « nature reserve .
