The Finning International Inc. , based in Vancouver , British Columbia , is a 1933 established company, the Caterpillar sells products and waiting.

history

The company was founded in 1933 by former Caterpillar salesman Earl B. Finning. Finning, who had previously lived in California, was of the opinion that British Columbia was the right market for his own sales company. His company policy, which has been preserved to this day, was not only to sell the machines, but also to take care of maintenance and the supply of spare parts. The first branch was established in Nelson in 1937 , and others followed.

Finning remained in family ownership until 1969, despite the founder, who had died in the meantime. After the IPO, several small companies were acquired. Finning has also been active internationally since the 1980s, with the right to represent Caterpillar in Great Britain in 1983 . In the 1990s the Chilean market was opened up, company takeovers and expansions followed, which made Finning the sales monopoly for Caterpillar products in Chile and Great Britain. In 2003 further branches were founded in Argentina , Bolivia and Uruguay . Finning International Inc. is currently the largest Caterpillar dealer in the world. As a publicly traded corporation, its stock is traded on the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX).
