history

With the construction of the brine pipeline from Reichenhall to Traunstein and the construction of the Traunsteiner Saline , the Unken farmers in the Heutal hoped for an additional source of income. Therefore, at their own expense, they built a hermitage for 600 guilders , which was in operation from 1632. In 1643, however, farmers in Salzburg were forbidden to sell their wood to Traunstein. In 1651 another hermitage on the Fischbach was mentioned, from 1665 the Fischbachklause was considered to be derelict and the threat of punishment for the Trift von Holz in the direction of Traunstein is renewed. In 1671 the farmers made another attempt, this time the wood was to be brought to Reichenhall. The Saline officials local, the so-called. Salt Maier , rejected the acceptance of this wood from, however, and until 1774 there was no evidence of a hermitage in the field of Fischbach.

In 1764 or 1774 a new hermitage was built on the Fischbach. As at the beginning of the 19th century Salzburg fell to Austria and the Saline Convention the supply of wood from the hall forests along the Saalach was regulated to the Bavarian salt mines, threatened loss of forests in the area of the fish creek. Subsequently, however, the forestry office in Marquartstein took over the administration of these forests on Martinsbichl, Ochsenbrunn, Scheibelberg, Dürrnbacheck, Finstersbach, Laubmberg.

In 1831 the Fischbachklause, which "existed old but was completely unusable except for the four stone buttresses", was renewed. The pillars were repaired and the water lap and water wall were rebuilt. In 1844 the Ruhpolding Forestry Office took over the management of the company, but the Trift workers continued to come from Unken. After Fischbachklause was destroyed by ice floes in March 1859, after two years of planning, on September 29, 1863, a new building was approved. The Trift on the Fischbach ended in 1896.
