There is a small ski area with three tow lifts. The top one leads to a saddle on the Dürrnbachhorn ( 1776 m ) up to a height of approx. 1520 m and is designed as a curved lift with two right-hand bends. In winter there are also around 50 km of groomed trails. Not far away are the neighboring Winklmoosalm - Steinplatte and Loferer Alm ski areas . The Heutal is also an ideal starting point for both mountain hikers and ski tourers who want to climb the Sonntagshorn ( 1961 m ).
The Saalforsten, as the landowner, rejected further lifts.
