The fish restaurant Knurrhahn is located in Bremen , Mitte district , Katharinenstraße 15 / corner Schüsselkorb . It was built during the Renaissance and is one of the oldest buildings in Bremen. The building has been a listed building in Bremen since 1973 .

history

The two-storey, four-axle gabled house with a gable roof , the brick facade with sandstone elements, the portal and the Utluchten from 1751 was built in the Renaissance era . In the second half of the 18th century, major renovations were carried out (lateral ground floor facades). The Heinrich VIII restaurant used to be on the ground floor .

Today (2018) the building is used as a restaurant, bistro and residential building. It is the oldest fish restaurant in Bremen.
